The UCP leadership candidates are making their final push to sell memberships before Friday’s cut-off. Meanwhile, Doug Schweitzer’s surprise resignation as Jobs, Economy, and Innovation Minister will also be a topic of discussion.

The Week That Was

The Association of Early Childhood Educators of Alberta and the Alberta Resource Centre for Quality Enhancement will receive $5.2 million from the provincial government to provide educators with early childhood brain science and development training.

MLAs Tracy Allard, Miranda Rosin, and Richard Gotfried are currently in Washington State attending the Legislative Energy Horizon Institute Conference, which ends tomorrow, in support of Alberta’s energy sector.

Budget 2022 allotted $7.2 million in funding toward the Temporary Rent Assistance Benefit which will provide a minimum of $100/month to qualifying Albertans on a first-come, first-served basis. The provincial government announced the allocation of the funds this week.
