Saskatchewan

Saskatchewan Agriculture Minister David Marit will lead a delegation to India to attend the Pulses Conclave in Mumbai and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for the Gulfood Exhibition in Dubai. The Minister left Monday and will be on his trip until February 22. Except for announcements regarding investments or trade deals while he’s there, it’s likely to be quiet.

Manitoba

The Government of Manitoba is beginning budget consultations and will be focused on the development and messaging of their final budget before the fall election. While no date has been set for its release, last year’s was not released until April.

Saskatchewan

Saskatchewan has continued its trend of record-high agri-food exports, bringing the total value for 2022 to $18.4 billion.

The total revenue for the 2022-23 fiscal year for petroleum and natural gas was $49,205,888.26, of which Saskatchewan’s Crown petroleum and natural gas public offering held on February 7 raised $3,100,290.58.

January 2023 saw an increase in more than 16,000 jobs when compared with the same period last year.

Manitoba

The pre-budget consultation was held yesterday in Winnipeg.
