Saskatchewan & Manitoba This Week

What to Expect

Restrictions are ending this week in Saskatchewan, and people will be watching closely whether this influences rates of transmission and hospitalization. There will also be more speculation about the upcoming NDP leadership race. There may even be some announcements – Nicole Sarauer, who was interim leader during the last leadership race, has said a decision on whether to run is coming sooner rather than later. On Monday, the NDP announced that the leadership convention will be held in late June, although no exact date has been announced.

The Manitoba legislature returns today, and it is likely that this will bring more discussion about removing restrictions and getting the backlog in health care sorted out.
