CSG Welcomes New VP of Government Relations for Saskatchewan and Manitoba

Longtime advisor and strategist will expand Canadian Strategy Group’s presence in Saskatchewan and Manitoba and enhance the company’s government relations services.

Graham Stewart, a senior political advisor to Saskatchewan Premier Scott Moe and former Premier Brad Wall, is joining Canadian Strategy Group as Vice President of Government Relations for Saskatchewan and Manitoba.

Graham is the former Deputy Chief of Staff to Premier Moe. In this role, he was responsible for issues management, policy development and stakeholder engagement, and served as the point person for energy, mining, agriculture and manufacturing.

Prior to joining the Premier’s Office, Graham served as Chief of Staff to the Minister of the Economy, Energy and Resources, Crown Investment Corporation, and was also the Executive Director of House Business and Research. He began working for the provincial government after the Saskatchewan Party’s historic 2007 election victory, and was a member of the party’s war rooms for the successful 2011, 2016 and 2020 election campaigns.

“Canadian Strategy Group is well known in western Canada, and I am proud to be joining their expansion into Saskatchewan and Manitoba,” said Stewart. “My experience in the public sector will help our clients navigate government and add strength to the existing CSG team.”

CSG is a Western Canadian public affairs practice founded by Hal Danchilla and Michael Lohner. Cathy Kiss, a leading government relations and communications strategist, joined as partner in early 2021. CSG helps regional, national and international clients achieve critical policy, funding and regulatory outcomes.

“On behalf of the Partners, we are excited to officially have boots on the ground in Saskatchewan and Manitoba. Graham’s political experience and record of building strong relationships with stakeholders make him a great fit for Canadian Strategy Group,” said Danchilla.

Graham grew up in Weyburn, Saskatchewan, and holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from the University of Regina. He lives outside the Saskatchewan capital with his wife and two children, where they enjoy their passion for horses, rodeo and the western lifestyle.
