Mackenzie started with CSG in 2021. She is a recent graduate of the University of Alberta with a bachelor of arts (BA) degree in Political Science and English as well as a certificate in Globalization and Governance. Mackenzie has achieved multiple years of successful experience as being a primary point of contact and in co-worker training.

While volunteering as a member of the Student Advisory Committee, Mackenzie liaised between the student body and administrative staff, providing input on student workshops, engagement initiatives, and recruitment events. Her other volunteer contributions include policy reformatting and revisions for Ronald McDonald House (Alberta) Charities.
